Day 66: I'm groggy

I've been really tired recently and I'm just taking naps all the time. On Sunday, I ended up taking two naps. I just took one long one today, but I had to struggle to get myself up.

In an attempt to be productive, I tried to sign up for phone service in my house. SBC's web page kept timing out on me so I gave up after a couple of tries. I don't know what's going on. I guess I'll try again tomorrow or just call them.

Please wish oatmealgal good luck on her exam day! I'll be thinking good thoughts around 1pm-3pm.

Day 58

I let my kitty out in the backyard again today since the neighborhood black cat was out. Josie was about to kick some butt in the picture below.

Day 57

I know I need to update the blog more often. There just hasn't been much to add. I've getting ready to go to two weddings coming up next month, but not much else is going on. The shots have been going okay.

Side effects haven't really changed much lately. I still get really tired though. I noticed that I have brusses on both legs now, even though they don't hurt. Man, I'll be black and blue by the time I'm done with the treatment.

Oh yeah, I saw 40 year old virgin on Friday. I was really looking forward to see the movie because it had some good reviews and I'm a Steve Carell fan. Too bad I was disappointed with the movie. It just wasn't that funny. The jokes were crude and never really laughed out loud for anything in the movie.

Days 45-48: Finally, some good news

I just got back from visiting my doctor with results from the blood test. As usual, they didn't have the results and the office had to call the lab for them. I was ready for some bad news too since I haven't been getting any good news from the doctor lately. Anyway, the results were actually good!

My red blood cell count remains high which means I'm handling the medicine well. But more importantly, my AST and ALT levels are within normal range! Before I started the medication, my AST and ALT levels were 10x the maximum amount. This is a good sign because it means that this treatment is working. No more second guessing if I did the shots right. Looks like I'll be on the medicine for the full span (which I'm not sure how long that will be.)

Days 43-44: Another day, another shot

For some reason all the messed up shots I give myself are in my right leg. I think it's because it's awkward for my arms to reach over to my right leg. I was being careful not to hit any veins today. It's funny because I never really paid attention to veins and now I notice them on myself as well as other people. Anyway, a little blood came out in the shot... Probably because I didn't keep the needle straight.

I let my kitty out in the backyard today. Josie is an indoor cat, but I let her out occasionally. Today there was another kitty out there with her... It's a neighborhood black cat that's been hanging out around the house recently. I don't think Josie has ever like another cat. She hisses and growls when other felines come by. The picture is showing Josie on the prowl and ready to attack!
